Ovomas from Ecuador


OVOMAS, an ambateña company founded in 2016, is dedicated to the production of egg products: liquid egg white, liquid yolk and pasteurized liquid egg; which are produced with eggs obtained from our own poultry plant. In 2017 we obtained the certification of good manufacturing practices (GMP), we also implemented HACCP in our processes and at the end of 2022 we started with the implementation of integrated management systems (GIS).


Concerned about the impact that the industry generates on the environment, Ovomas, an eco-friendly company, begins the change of its linear production line to a circular production, working on research to add value to our main waste which is the eggshell, transforming it into commercial calcium salts and testaceous membrane rich in bioactive components.

Through research, creation and execution of projects that allow us to add value to the waste generated such as eggshell and chicken manure to minimize their environmental impact, making the waste from the existing line go through the reinsertion process and not become a source of contamination again.

To turn our linear production model into a circular model, adding value to waste so that it can be marketed.


Social

Improve the quality of life of the population by reducing pollution and waste, in addition to generating decent employment in the communities near the plant to reduce unemployment and migration from the sector.
